On the Needles
Right now I'm just swatching with this wool/silk handspun (purchased at Sage Yarn in Falmouth, MA), but I do know it's too lovely to be left in the stash!
Technically, this Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed isn't actually on the needles yet, but it's slated for my next self-published pattern.
I reworked the neck four times using various edge treatments, including a twisted cable rib, but in the end I decided simpler is better.
Now that I've completed several deadline projects, I can get back to work on Wyvern. I've finished both fronts and joined them to start on the back. I finished the right front first and blocked it to make sure my gauge was on, before I started the left front.
Sherwood has morphed into something quite different from the original; I guess I'd better name this jumper something else. Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood, merry men, Maid Marion...how about "Marion"!?
I like the combinations in both of the large motifs-- the orange and the blue/green bands-- and I like them both with the narrow motifs. But I don't think I like the large motifs together: the bright orange and the muted green just don't do it for me.
