Actually, this giveaway is due in equal parts to (1) my absentmindedness and (2) a sudden attack of competitiveness-- I'll explain.

I normally think of my office as a warm and friendly place, with lots of light, yarn cubbies filled to overflowing,

 I took a photo of this robin's nest because it is so beautifully constructed, and because the eggs are such a gorgeous color-- but it makes me sad every time I look at it.

After I posted about joining Twitter, I thought of the perfect post title: "Another Knitter on Twitter." Oh well.

Or a parade of bunnies, anyway.

Last week I visited the New Bedford Whaling Museum for the first time, as a chaperone on a school field trip.

I still plan to do a couple of yarn giveaways in the next few months, but I've decided to jumpstart my destashing by (hopefully) selling a bunch of yarn-- some discontinued, and some not.

While organizing my stash, I came across a scarf that was supposed to be a Christmas 2005 gift for my husband.
