When I see the exuberant emerald green of this tam, I think of our downstairs neighbors in Como, a lovely Irish family: I can almost hear Rosie exclaiming (in that mellifluous brogue), "Brilliant!" Honestly? I probably wouldn't have chosen that color. But I can't deny that it makes me feel more energetic, just looking at it!
When I have a little more time, I'll do a blog post about design inspiration, blah blah blah.....
(Pattern now available in the Winter 2009 Twist Collective. It's a great issue, with lots of gorgeous projects-- take a look!)
The Vespa Hat is a fun, quick project-- and fun to wear, with earflaps to keep your ears warm, a loose fit to prevent the dreaded "hat head," and an optional ponytail hole. Ear flaps and back of neck are worked flat; after front stitches are cast on, hat is worked in the round. See more patterns
