And now for something completely different

I'm working away on the rest of the body of my Chinese Lace sweater, but at the moment its progress is far too boring to photograph or blog about.  So here is a little project I started back in March, using Alchemy Yarn's Synchronicity, a lovely silk/merino blend, in the colorway "The Night Air," and the bead-over-slipped-stitch technique to create a beaded motif.  because she mentions that slipped stitches break up the stripes formed by variegated yarn, and while placing the first few beads, I had noticed just that.   At first this bothered me, but after working a few more rows, I decided I liked the way the diamond is accentuated.
